Where are we? We run Bluefin Tuna trips aboard True Blue from Mylor Yacht Harbour, Churchtown, Near Falmouth.
TR11 5UF
How much does it cost? Our Bluefin Tuna Charters are £1200 and include all tackle.
How long is a typical Bluefin fishing day? Our trips will normally see you afloat for 10 hours, but this can be flexible.
How many anglers / passengers can I bring? Our charter rate is for up to four anglers / passengers.
Can I bring my own tackle? No, we provide well maintained equipment that is proven to be able to bring hard fighting bluefin to the boat. If you have your own "Stand-up" fighting harness, then you are welcome to bring that.
What method is used to catch Bluefin Tuna on True Blue? We troll lures to catch Bluefin Tuna and we use the "Stand-up" method. This means that you will be fitted with a harness and the rod is attached to you. You fight the fish stood up. We do not have a fighting chair and the rod is not left in the gunwale. We believe this method gives you, the angler the greatest experience and allows you to truly feel the fight of the fish.
What if I am not fit enough to fight a Bluefin using the "Stand-up" method? To date we have had Bluefin reeled in by youngsters from the age of 14 years to veterans of 82 years. Our crew will assist where necessary.
What are the timings for the day? These are flexible and take into account your travel needs. Timings may also need to be altered if there are adverse weather conditions. Normal timings are, meet at the boat for 07:00. After a thorough briefing we plan to be slipping lines by 07:30. Arrival back at Mylor is usually between 17:00 and 18:00. Timings can be flexible to meet your requirements.
When do we pay? A deposit of £200 is required when booking. The balance is required once the skipper gives a positive weather decision, usually within 48 hours of the trip. Full payment in advance is a condition of the trip going ahead.
Payment by BACS is preferred.
